This original design is a great example of Louie's unique merger of contemporary themes and traditional Coast Salish design. Here Blue Jay is captured at the moment he finally lets go of the trivial matters associated with his daily grind - a moment that sometimes takes human beings 3 or 4 days of vacation to achieve. This scarf reminds us of the importance of self-care.

A note on the fabric: these 100% silk scarves are plain weave and the design is printed on one side. (Silk is the fiber; plain weave is the weave structure.) These scarves have a smooth texture and are the typical "slipperiness" many people associate with silk. Our silk scarves have the lightness and coolness you expect from silk, with a fluid drape.
